No we couldn't each have our on cheap shop because there is probably atleast 100 active people that log on a day and giving them each their own cheap shop would ruin this whole idea. Also we also couldn't give people kits for it either because then everyone would constantly get easy free metal and that would add up fast... maybe even faster than wood.

Just mine the metal... you don't have to buy it, and why do new players need a base so badly... if this took into effect the apartment business would increase dramatically and the competition would be higher making apartments affordable for all new players. To help the apartments and new players you could change the rules and make it so you can only raid one room a raid so some bandit can't raid twelve houses in one raid and now that I think if it the demand for metal could be high enough to open up a "Miner" role which would get a pick, headlamp, and construction clothing. Remember builders don't have to buy the metal, they can mine it in rocks. Sorry for the second post.

When I walk into Alberton I lag. It only takes a week after the reset for me to start lagging there. I have come up with an idea to help increase the time in-between resets and to stall the lag. I know a lot of people will disagree but I believe we should ban wood houses.
Benefits of this would be:
Less lag
Shops would be more of an accomplishment
There wouldn't be 50 useless shops in Alberton
Builders may be more useful because it would be hard to make a house
Now those are all the benefits I can think of but I honestly don't see any problem with all the houses being metal or brick. Some of you are probably saying "This gets rid of RP!" But in real life houses arent just made of pure wood anymore either. And by banning wood houses I mean that you only ban the buildables not the crates and such because those have uses and cause minimal lag. I am not sure how you could do this but you could just do what you did to campfires.
Or no more than a 1x2 per person.

This would be perfect, considering wooden structures lag more than metal and brick!
The only problem I can forsee is the new players asking why they can't craft these things!

So the problem you said about new players not being able to craft things... well I think I have an idea to solve that. If you made it on the rules page somewhere which people have to read anyway, most people should read it and see that it says something like "Wood structures are banned so you can't craft them" which would obviously eliminate most newbies from asking why they can't craft them. Also I think I said this before, but not only do these wood structures decrease FPS, but what they do is increase the lag lines in their radius or render distance. What I mean is when you go to Alberton you get these annoying freezes right? Well as you get further away they get more minor and more minor. When you go to Montague they are barely even there. When you go to the airport... they are gone. Getting rid of all these huge wooden bases that basically anyone can build would in my opinion benefit everyone in the long run. You could help newbies get metal by adding a pickaxe to the shop for everyone instead of a specific role. If you don't believe me on the lag line thing, just test it out yourself, but anyway, I hope you guys keep supporting this and it eventually gets added.

I believe we are trying to implement a plugin that only allows a certain amount of structures and barricade placed by 1 player.
For example the steam64id of a player will only be allowed to place 100 structures and 100 barricades on the map all together. This should help reduce the lag and the amount of times we have to do map wipes.

Agent first of all 100 structures a person is outrageous, and what about all those apartment builders... I don't think putting a limit is the answer.
