Being on both ends of the air base combat I think that they're pretty overpowered. The person on top pf a sky base (the ones stretching across half the map in particular) has basically no concequence of death. If they die they can respawn on a bedroll on top of the airbase and safely grab their stuff on the platform. Ladders are also more expensive which makes air bases even harder to get into. Air bases are also pretty ugly and clutter the sky's of the server.

A lot of people happen to like this server because Sky bases are allowed, so this will most likely not Happen

We are doing our best to restrict, but not disallow the disparate increase of skybases on all our servers. All ladders, stairs, floors, and roofs have had their prices increased.

This ultimately won't solve much just due to the fact most people don't build bases and this will just discourage building them to an even higher degree

That is the entire point of it. Air bases are meant for the select few who take the time to craft or earn enough resources to make them, and not just any joe schmo with a couple bamboo in their wallet. They also litter the map with random floating structures, making it look like a dumpster in less than a week and requiring us to do way more map resets than we would otherwise have to - tl;dr: So much for having a sky base.
