Lets start off with the obvious:
As a Free role, expert is definitely interesting, and comes with some interesting RP options, I think the role is ok, and has some good uses, but is definitely lacklustre practically.

I really think the idea of black markets and illegal item selling can lead to some awesome RP sessions, but it is hard to find buyers, and it feels like there is not much you can do by yourself. If we take a look at this role as an RP illegal merchant, we have to think about a few things; 1 ability to make profit, 2 ability to be interacted with by other roles (ie police arresting/ bandits buying explosives) and 3 enjoyment.

Ability to make profit: I believe that this role offers a little bit of a niche towards raid heavy bandit groups, supplying them with explosives, but outside of that (which is rare enough as is) One of the main ideas of profit, is buying seized explosives from police forces, and selling them to either players, or the economy. I have not once seen this happen on my time here, and i have seen a lot of new people join, pick expert as their first role, and then leave after a while, assumably not sure how they can fit into the meta of our RP servers, more on that point later.
Compared to other merchant roles, such as weaponsmith and mechanic, which are always in demand and making money, and even other illegal merchants(druglord) whom have the opportunity to make a lot of money growing berries in a hidden spot and selling them to the economy, this role is left in the dust.

Ability to be interacted with: The idea of the expert role purchasing confiscated explosives from police, and then leaving, using it to make other explosives and then sell back to bandits/police is cool, but it doesnt really happen. As far as i know, other than holding raw explosives in front of a cop and successfully being arrested, or being killed in an arrest with explosives on you are the only two ways that a cop will get such items, which is pretty niche; top all that off with the fact that an explosives expert needs to be around to see it and you get an interaction which basically never happens.

Enjoyment: So other than selling explosives to a group of bandits, Solo play is a bit difficult. (because having a shop for illegal explosives wont work out well) being able to outfit your home with claymores galore is fun in it's own right, but having a role kit that gives you 2 explosives and a grenade and some clothes isnt a lot to work with, and as a free role for new players, relying on buying stuff to start out is hard when youre in a role that is so difficult to make bamboo with. If people are new, and as many do, play without reading the rules first, the expert role is simply a means to failrp, and blow a few people/vehicles up, before getting either banned, or bored and leave the servers.

We want people to stick around dont we? :smile:

Suggestions:
~New Kit | ~New interactions (I.E. being a raid role, or being able to set up explosives shops legally)
~Possibly changed to donor (So new players dont paint the towns red, or become bored, not making the role work)
~More ability to make bamboo alone (raise selling and buying prices of explosives)
~More access to shop (after a look at what experts can buy, its a bit lacklustre)
