So earlier today, I was involved in a raid/shootout between two hitmen, vs me and my friend who was a swat member. The two hitmen were at my door and threatening to break in and to fight them, because I had a hit on my head. I opened the door, and my friend and I started firing. I managed to kill one person, and got a few shots off of the second person, losing my friend in the process. Apparently, it was an attempt of KOS on the second person because I killed the first guy, ending my hit. However, I believe it is unfair that the two hitmen present outside my door trying to kill me, and I was accused of KOS on one of them. If they are both present outside my house trying to kill me at the time of the hit and shootout, shouldn't I be allowed to kill them? If the second guy saw the first hitman there already, why would he stay so close in the shootout? I think any hitmen outside my door during a shootout over a hit should be fair game to kill because they both were there to kill me, reguardless if I killed one of them or not. I understand where the staff member was coming from, but I'm just a little upset over the fact that I got a 12 hour ban for an event that seemed unfair on my side. I am not seeking an appeal for the 12 hour ban I received that has already expired, rather I am seeking a possible reform in the rules against hitmen and home defense against them.

Just re stating that I am not seeking a ban appeal. I am simply sharing an event that points out what I see as a flaw in the role play rules.

Normally if you are pursueing a hitman to end your hit and players get in front of you as you're shooting the hitman, it is allowed as it counts as crossfire. However, you killed the hitman pursueing your hit, and even after you killed him you continued shooting out of your base for no reason and shot the player. That is attempt KOS and the player you shot had full right to kill you. Now I do understand how you would be scared if two hitman were outside your base, but once your hit is over if anyone else tries to kill you, it is KOS, and if they do KOS, let a moderator know using /adminh. This way you will get your stuff back and justice will be served to the player that KOS'ed you.

I disagree, this sounds like a case of cross fire & self defense. Even after he kills the first hitman, chances are the second hitman didn't immediately stop firing. Either way, it's still crossfire, or self defense if he's being fired upon. It's not easy to suddenly stop an entire firefight after one death, they don't work like that. However, your friend getting involved may be against the rules. Regardless, I do not think you should have been banned and thus wouldn't require a rule change. It's really up to mod discretion.

If someone suddenly decides they're going to go kill the hit they're going to go find him because it's their role, it's perfectly okay, and you're allowed to kill the hitman that is after you. only if you're just shooting a bunch of people down in the street it's now a kos zone and you'll most likely get banned in the process, but again you can kill the hitman in the process of him hunting you down, and if there are two hitmans outside trying to kill you're able to kill them for self defense reasons, you cannot shoot abunch of people down in the street for some odd reason but i'm not saying you did that or anything simply stating my opinion on what happened.

Storm that couldn't have happened as the first hitman was killed by Hardium and continued shooting for 3-4 seconds before the second hitman was shot. If you think about it, that's plenty of time to read the message that your hit is over.

3-4 seconds while being shot is absolutely NOT enough time.

No im saying it was after Hardium had killed the first hitman. After that there had been no shots except for Hardiums.

consider that maybe both hitmans took damage at the same time (hardium tried to defend from both of them at the same time) and when the first hitman died, hardium maybe shot for 1 more second, causin the second hitman to die

That was not the case because if that happened, it would have been crossfire. After he killed the first hitman and continued shooting, his continued shots hit the second hitman about 3-4 seconds after shooting.
