Recently the RP-Adminstrator team has been putting work into a new idea for RP.
This idea is to get a plugin which would completely remove "World chat" from RP and the addition of /advertise.


This plugin would get rid of the people calling KOS in chat, being warned for "Keep world chat RP", and make sure you will be able to enjoy RP to the fullest.

With this plugin also comes an addition.
The additition being the /advertise command!
The /advertise command will allow players to advertise their shop in the "World chat" and get more costumers!
This command, however, comes with a cost. An advertisement will cost an X ammount bamboo, wich will be a great way to invest as armorsmith, weaponsmith etc. The bamboo will be taken directly from your balance.


Before we implement such a plugin we need the feedback of the community, because your feedback is going to be the most important when it comes to such big changes!

Please vote on this Poll wether you think we should or should not implement a plugin wich will dis-allow players from using "World chat" and will add the /advertise command wich can advertise your buisiness!

So, removing world chat altogether. We need a much clearer description of how this would work before making a poll on it.

Think about new players, for example. They would spawn at a random location away from anyone, and they wouldn't be able to get any sort of help because no one would be able to hear them. They'd be stranded with no way of talking to anyone because they don't know the command to PM or Adminhelp.

Scenario: Joins servers, cant talk in world chat. "Shit server", leaves.

We could make it so if the player is brand new, still handcuffed and without a role, they can use world chat. As soon as they pick a role, they get a warning saying "World chat has been disabled. Please type /help". Even then, this would seem like a very drastic measure to take.

It would help the current community and staff at the cost of diminishing the playerbase in the long run. This idea could be improved upon IMO.

What removing word chat entirely?! Well I did not think you meant that, I agree with Mushy entirely on this one. /advertise is good idea, but Mushy's scenario is sadly correct. Imagine. Spawns on beach, handcuffed. Panics, starts to type in world chat: Y AM I HANDCFFED WAHT DID I DOO WHY A NEED A AMIDN NOW. Yep spelling in RP can be atrocious. But no chat. So player has no idea what to do, then leaves. "freakin' server is glitched af." So basically we are removing all new players. Because we all were once that person on the beach, face it.
