Hello Pandas!
The DEA has returned to 13 after a short hiatus, and we're bringing with us a much requested feature... the DEA Academy! Aspiring Agents will now be able to team up with a current DEA officer and going through a training and testing regime in which their aptitude, attitude, ability, and many other metrics will be measured and judged. If you're interested, please speak to one of us on 13. Positions are going to be limited, and we're only going to be accepting the best of the best, so bring your a-game. TS3 is required.

For our first weekly update, I have some fantastic news. The DEA has successfully conducted/issued:
2 drug raids
4 kill warrants
23 tickets
26 arrests (Inlcuding the mayor!)
Not only that, but we had some close calls. We also intervened in;
2 raids
12 robberies
2 kidnappings
So some big highlights. Last week we found the Godfather to be running a local mafia of a reported 30+ players. It is with great pleasure I can say that the DEA tackled this monster ring, and completely destroyed it from the inside out. The Mafia will no longer be an issue for our PEI citizens. In addition, we also arrested the Mayor! Just goes to show you that everyone must obey the law, regardless of rank or political position.
In other news, the DEA is now seriously looking for prospective DEA officers. If you're interested, make sure you're awake and walking around, being the best officer you can be.

The DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) will now be doing a weekly newsletter! The purpose of this newsletter is to keep Pandas like yourself informed as to what your tax bamboo is going towards, and how the DEA is helping to keep you safe. We will do our best to keep track of our arrests, drug raids, tickets issued, hostages rescued & robberies stopped. Each week I'll add a bump, and update this first post, and put the rest into a spoiler so everyone can keep track of our trends. In addition, this will be where you can ask your questions related to the DEA. So without further ado, what's new!?
1.) The DEA has established its main headquarters at Taylor Beach. It is encouraged that residents keep their distance when building their homes & shops, as often times we imprison violent criminals who are looking for easy targets, or resist before we can get them into a cell.
2.) It's come to our attention that there is a new Mafia in town, run by GodFather. The DEA has issued an immediate kill warrant for this individual, so all departments may assist in taking down this kingpin. Any information about the mafia will be rewarded. Please contact Captain Khaosius (myself) for details. Information regarding the Mafia lieutenants will be especially rewarded so a kill warrant may be issued for them as well.
3.) We are currently purchasing information that leads to drug raids! In order to obtain your reward, please privately message Captain Khaosius (again, myself) screenshots via Pandahut Discord, Steam, or TS3. We will investigate and if we are able to call a raid based off the screenshots, you will be rewarded in scale with how many drugs/illegal weapons are confiscated.
4.) Are you currently a criminal? The DEA is more interested in getting weapons and drugs off the streets than arrests. You may turn in your contraband to ANY DEA officer without fear of prosecution. Simply walk up, inform the agent you have contraband you'd like to turn in, and follow the agent's instructions. Please do not just drop them on the ground, as passersby may seize them and run.
FAQ:
Q.) How do I join the DEA?
A.) Well aspiring agent, the DEA is invitation only. That means that we seek out active, passionate officers to fill our forces. In order to be considered for invitation, you must be out there doing your best to keep our streets safe, and being a team player. That means helping other officers call arrests, issuing tickets, providing security for raids, being present on the streets, and helping civilians.
Q.) I have information about the mafia/drug raids! Pay me first!
A.) Unfortunately the DEA will not pay any reward until AFTER a raid/arrest is called. This is to ensure that we do not pay out for fraudulent information. In addition, we pay on a first come first serve basis. If two people inform us of a drug base, only the first one will be paid, so be sure to send in your information as quickly as possible!
Q.) I thought the DEA was part of PSD?
A.) Due to the collapsing leadership of PSD, the DEA has separated into its own, individual department. This allows us to run our own budget, training, prison program, and base.
Q.) Since it's my taxes paying for the DEA, I'd like to see the HQ.
A.) You're absolutely right, it IS your taxes that pay for our home. When available, you may inquire for a free tour from any agent, assuming that we are not currently holding prisoners, or otherwise engaged in anti-crime activity.
