PEI: A future for the People; made by the People
Unread postPosted:June 30th, 2018, 9:46 am
About me:
-To start off many of you of probably know me by RP name which is Tony Fester. I have been an on and off player of Pandahut RP and recently made my full switch to RP since November 2017.
-I have played a variety of roles ranging from weaponsmiths to police (very early on and as solo) and even druglord.
-I have been a long-term resident of #13 I have stayed since the second month of my switch to RP which was December. Special thanks to iMC for making that happen since without that I wouldn’t have met most of the people I call friends on PH if it wasn’t for him.
-My current occupation is a salesman and record manager of the PSD under the guidance of iMC.
-My hobby is catching airdrops and fishing.
-I believe that the law is there for the people and not the other way around.
My thoughts on the previous term:
Before I go onto saying what my plans are I would like to say in advance that Klockmann did an amazing job as usual but his administration team didn’t really follow through as good as they could of have. An example being the electricity grid which has been down for the past week and a half. But credit should be given where it was due and for them, it makes it a reality even if it was for a few days is more than amazing as they were most likely the first in PEI history to pull it of as smoothly as it did.
Proposed plans:
Law enforcement:
-Since the introduction of law 6.1.1 PSD has been Officially recognized as the only police department that will be recognized as legitimate from the mayor’s office. With this is in mind majority of the negotiations or changes will be addressed directly to the higher ups of the PSD and they can release the information to the public at a later date if they choose to do so.
-I do have to disclose to the public that I will be removing the patrol kits program as most of the officers who ended applying were officers of PSD. It will be replaced with additional funding to the PSD who already had an efficient reimbursement program led by Deputy Stan which was much more efficient before its introduction.
Housing:
-Private business owners have been doing a good job providing housing and apartments without intervention from the government so it will stay that way.
-The Energy grid system will be far more advanced this time around by removing the Block system (having industrial generators placed at strategic locations) and instead replaced with giving out to portable generators to those who ask. This will program will have its limits and those are one per citizen and the house/building owner has to let us check to make sure you don’t already have your own generator and/or illegal activities going on. Further information about the program will be given out later on.
Jobs and the economy:
I would like to start off saying that times have changed from what Mayor’s used to have to deal with in the early ages. First off there is a good amount of the player base who have been here for a long time and are really experienced in the arts of making money. With that many of the incoming players to PEI also learn fairly quickly on how to make money on the server regardless of the method it was received.
To sum it up players have gotten a lot smarter since the early days resulting in a better economy and have been doing pretty good without government intervention, so nothing big will be done here. Those who do need funding they can contact the respective minister privately.
Law Changes:
Before:
-Section 6 1.1 to 1.5 consists of speed regulations
-Special Law 7 Rioting and protesting are only legal if you have gained a demonstration permit from the Mayor. If an illegal protest or riot happens, officers can arrest/ticket the rioters for disturbing the peace.
-Special Law 7.3 Recent terrorist attacks in P.E.I. by armed militia has prompted the mayor’s office to ban all military vehicles of all types. Anyone caught in a vehicle will have the vehicle confiscated and possibly destroyed and arrest on suspicion of terrorism.
-Section 7 Animal harm: It's not allowed to harm any animals in any way - this goes for cows, deer, etc. This is an arrestable offense and goes under the category of animal abuse.
After:
-Section 6 1.1 to 1.5 Will be removed as it is hard to enforce.
-Special Law 7 Abolished as it prohibits the right of the citizens and could be abused as Mayor could simply deny a permit.
-Special Law 7.3 The ban on military vehicles will be lifted for ALL people of PEI and that means you are free to use the vehicle you got regardless of how it was originally obtained. All vehicles with a gun of any sort will only be for recreational purposes for the civilians while police are free to use them for raids. If someone that isn’t a police officer is using it to raid an officer is free to arrest/ticket and dispose of the vehicle with evidence.
-Section 7 With the recent growth of the population of all wildlife animals we have decided that it is for the best that we make hunting for animals legal again.
New Additions:
Section 4 which consists of the ticketing laws will now have standards for how much each violation should be charged with.
Per Unlicensed x1 150
Public discharge 200
Partial impersonation 200
More will be added as the term starts
