I thought of this while reading an article about how builders should only be able to cut down trees, but I have a better idea. having permits to cut trees down! you can go to a specific hardware store in a town and there, you can buy a permit to cut down trees! This would be beneficial in many ways, not as many tree's being cut down, lag reduction from lack of materials being placed, reasons for cops to arrest people, and to increase the population of trees in the beautiful Pos- Apocalyptic world of Unturned. Let me hear your feedback and any other add-ons!!

I don't know if we could directly restrict players from cutting down trees due to unturned limitations but I do know that we could fine people x amount for destroying trees without the permit. That method would work even if they drove over it or used explosives.

Simpler options can sometimes be better, why not just allow Police/RCMP to arrest anyone who cuts down a tree while they are not a builder/constructor?

I think Miku's idea is better. You wont be able to catch everyone cutting down trees. But the idea of automatically fining them when the do damage them are better.

I think it would cause a lot of drama, there's no way to tell if they actually started cutting down trees and it'd be really unneeded drama
