SINCE THIS IS A DECENTLY LONG READ A SHORTEN VERSION IS AT THE FIRST REPLY
Since it's been around a week or so since zombies were removed from the RP servers I feel like it is about time I brought up a concern of mine the would mostly affect new players and slightly affect average players. As most of us know killing zombie was a decent way of making some cash on the server if you had time and didn't mind the grind. At 10 bamboo per kill a player could kill 30 zombies in a span of 5 minutes and make 300 bamboo (provided they didn't use a gun). Taking that into account in 30 minutes a player could make 1000-1500 if they were lucky with spawns.
Now to the actual problem without zombies new players no longer have that ability to make that extra cash aside from whatever they make from their roles. Normally players start with a 1000 bamboo which would be enough to buy some low tier gear and nothing more. Assuming the player chooses the bandit role (Most popular for new players) they would have a kry (not gonna bother with full name) and a few clips; if they wanted more they would have to rob it or buy it. Going with either choice lets say the player manages to get some gear and attempts to pull off a robbery/raid, for this instance let's say the player fails and losses all their gear. For non-donators (spell check aint working) this would mean a 24 hour wait until their kit is available until then they are broke. Assuming the player bought their additional gear they most likely wont have any money left to spend meaning they really won't be robbing anyone any time soon; will there are feasts there is another problem regarding those as well.
Players without any cash left would be hard pressed to make money. Will one could argue that people could just become a weaponsmith and go to feasts and sell whatever is there that in itself is a problem. This is no secret method many people including myself have made fortunes on doing this alone for a few days; however, that was before the zombie wipe. Since people are looking for new ways to make money many players have chosen this option and with more players doing this that means more competition for the guns spawned and and depending on the amount of players there means less profit (feasts become a slot machine). Another alternative to making money would be becoming one of the many civ roles like decorator or builder or mechanic (all very popular and needed roles) however these roles are very circumstantial not everyone needs them everyday and usually people wont buy from these people for more than a 50-100 dollar mark-up. The other civ roles like the farmer or fisherman are ineffective of making a decent profit and take a large amount of time and dedication. These roles are rarely used since their money gained to time spent ratio is so damn low. Primarily the farmer role; farmers can grow and sell all legal produce. However, the pricing for said produce makes it hard for a profit to be earned. Seeds and the produce themselves cost exactly the same to buy so unless you have a high enough farming level you won't be making money until you get 2 crops per harvest making max level farming a requirement. However, without zombies that would mean players need to find a way to get 200+xp before they can start making a lack luster profit. Currently all crops sell for around 16 bamboo to sell to the econ will their seeds cost some 50 bamboo to buy meaning that per crop you get around 28 bamboo. In order to get even a 1000 bamboo you would have to sell 62 crops which could take a while if ones farming skill wasn't high enough or you were constantly raided.
In order to help players gain more money from these civ roles I propose to increase the selling price of all LEGAL crops (berry related items excluded from this) as well as slightly increase fish selling prices as well. In addition seeds should be cheaper to get than the actual crop since they only serve one use were as the full grown crop could be used as food or as a way to get more seeds.
