You should make a raid zone distance because I saw a raid called on the base I was next to then when I saw that I started to run and I assume im far away from the base considering the raid was at the taylon beach and I ran to the forest next to a hill and a mod shot me then I called KOS and got warned for kos is not RP and when my friend killed the mod he got banned for 12 for 1x kos. So im guessing if someone see's you and they're doing a raid you can jsut get sht becasue thats pretty much what happened.

Pretty sure the raid zone is 100meters and also common sense not to shoot someone across the map not even interfering with the raid don't quote me might be wrong I don't think so though.

Probably thought you were a cop trying to stop even tho you were running next time run faster

If you can be shot by the raider you are in the raid zone.

Raid zone is 100 meters, whenever I raid I use a Rangefinder so I dont kos.

Raid Zones and each side of a raid:

Raiders: Once raid countdown is up, Raiders are allowed to kill any and all people in immediate area of the base being raided... so long they are still attempting to break into the base.

Defenders: Defenders consist of Base Owners as well as Police/RCMP/Swat. Defenders are allowed to only kill the raiders, unless a random player is caught in a raid zone which makes the defenders unaware whether he is a raider or a civilian, this is considered as being caught in a crossfire and is not counted as KoS.

Anyone else who is not a defender or attacker is at fault if they are killed in the immediate area of the raid as there is a 2 minute countdown before raids are initiated. These people may also not interfere with the raid by attacking either side -- this would be considered KOS.

The above is taken from the rules page, The reason why the 100m was removed and turned into "immediate area" was due to the issue you stated where players near but not involved would be shot, The ideal is that as a raider, you want to bust in, get the loot and bust out.

The raiders should not fire at people that are not involved, Police can be seen as an exception (this is my opinion) As it is clear any police driving up to a raid are simply there to stop it. Basically, other then this raiders should not fire unless fired upon unless the other players walk into the base/stay around the front door, or are already in it.

And please note players! This is a HARD RP server, logically if a building is being raided you would want to run a safe distance away, don't sit right outside or near it waiting for loot, police may mistake you as a raider and you will die due to "cross fire"

Also the raider knew I was over 100m away from the raid and still killed me then when I called KOS he gave me a warning

Make a player report on the person so they can be punished, As for your friend, He should not have killed him and you both should have called for staff, Killing someone just cause they killed your friend does not make it justified, Its still just another kos and cause's more issues for staff.

Next time contact staff via Ingame or Teamspeak, or worse case none are able to come help make an player report, Your friend could have appealed for the ban buy i doubt its still active at this time.

Yes we are trying to enforce "HARD RP" but remember just because someone broke a rule, does not mean you can brake one too, you should not have been killed in the first place, but your friend acted on this "Fail rp" and committed one of his own.

Im sorry that your friend was banned, but it would have been just as easy to call for staff would it have not?
