jack's application is Nitro ninja dude. and he got banned and demoted fairly, because he was SUPER abusive and overall a bad moderator. a very big tyrant to the server

Sometimes admins deem some players as mature and worthy and they put them on a very strict moderator ship, which can be stripped very easily, as did mine. Now, players +1'ing your application does not guarantee your acceptance or denial, but it does show others opinions and may affect your outcome.

There are staff members who get mod without having an application, would it be connections, friends, money. That is not fair.

Other issue is failure to judge who is write and wrong.

Example is Jack Hews, which screwed up very hard, got demoted and perma banned. That guy didn't have an application or maybe I fail to find it. If you show me one I will take my works back and apologize. But I protest against picking some random asshole and shoving him up on mod, then screwing everything, abusing and on top of that the players, me included HAVE to respect him for the sheer reason that he is a mod, even though that he is a complete fucking failure. Throwing up a sweet, loving and kind attitude for 3 weeks gameplay and getting mod. Absurd.

Bloodlord also showed some insulting behaviour, even though he did deal with situations correctly and even though I submitted a report against him, I might still vote +1 for him.

I also went on #13 to spread my OpFor group there, make bases, see new faces etc. That server is now a freaking concentration camp when Psych gets in. Since when is freedom of speech not allowed on #13? Because she heavily enforces it. I'm not talking about disrespectful comments, but if she does not want to hear it, it should not be said.

And additionaly, seeing -1 on people's apps from staff members who give out the reason that they have not seen him is ridiculous. The reason for them not seeing him might also be not because the player is inactive, or lying about his hours, but perhaps because he is living on the other edge of the world and their timezones are completely different. A player isn't supposed to play 24 hours so he can meet all the mods at once and prove that he is the right guy.

People can -1 any's staff application for any reason. Also keep in mind people change their names and such. We have had a few people who never made a staff application but were amazing staff members. Tublo is looking into Psych's btw. Staff with and without staff applications always have a chance of being corrupt. There is also never money rank or connections involved with people getting staff without an application, I can assure you. I'm pretty sure a few of these people who never made a application most likely were on at a time where there was no other staff on so we made them trial mod. They proved themselves and got full moderator.

Indeed, but what I am asking is how he got up to that place? It's the judgement of certain people. Both players and staff members are people, they both do mistakes. Same goes with Police Chief or higher rank apps, or with Mayor apps. A player is friendly, but that does not necesseraly mean he is suited for the position, should it be a Staff member or a certain higher Role. But people never differ behaviour from the qualities needed. That is why the more closed-in a player is and the more he is either neutral or on bad terms with staff members (might not be disrespect, but showing rebellious behaviour or similar), the more bad responses he will get in his future mod/role app. A player's positive attitude posseses a much bigger role in him succeeding to take a mod position, rather than his abilities to actually do his job. That is why people like Jack came.

And I am telling this to all future participants in this conversation. I am not telling who should be picked or not, do not misunderstand me. I am only asking questions. As why some people get to become mods without applications? Why some people get accepted quite faster than others. Certainly a factor could be that they have proven to be suited in more occasions than others, but Psychgirl's application got approved after only her boyfriend as far as I have heard, Falazen, rated her with +1. I have yet to see how Falazen works and I only remember that he once banned me because I offered Psychgirl jokingly to give me some oral stimulation in return for scrap metal, which got me a one-hour break off of #13 (this is a long time ago). But the real thing is, what do other staff actually think?

My stupidity aside, people are becoming moderators out of the blue. Also other mods tend to abuse from time to time, even though it is veeeery rarely, such as Avery. She had a double-role at the same time I reported Bloodlord for having it and a couple of other things. I didn't bother screenshotting her.

Another issue, yet again. I have noticed that Crow repeatedly says how people have written down their 64ID wrong, including on my Police Chief app. I don't know why you do that Crow? Giving me a minus to it, even though you were in the wrong. :|

I can assure you we try our very best to select the best staff. However as you stated yourself we are just humans. It may appear that someone's staff application was only accepted after a friend of theirs did +1, however that may not be the truth. Admins don't have to +1 a staff application to think it worthy of being accepted. Punishments are decided by the staff member most of the time. We have a report forum for reporting staff members as well. Keep in mind steamid64= 76548754957987 Steamid= Steamid_0_1:595949, You most likely put the steamid instead of steamid64. Edit: I checked your post, he was wrong about your steamid64 but you COMPLETELY assumed he was the one that -1'd you. Not very good police chief material, Also he could of -1’d you for other reasons.

I am not complaining about my Police Chief application, that is irrelivant now and it is simply an example. He does that to others as well. I am also amazed how you quickly labeled me as a bad Police Chief, despite some Police Chiefs voting + for me and actually seeing me in-game, where you have no idea how I play or perform. Even though that does not matter anymore as I had given up on being one. And furthermore, only some people actually stated as why they think I should not become one. If you will vote, put some words and meaning behind it.

Also the possibility of staff members coming in with connections, money or friends is entirely up to you to approve or not as you are one of the owners. Since I have never attempted to join the staff ranks and absolutely never will, I am just asking questions about how things work because it seems fishy.

I said not really police chief stuff we'd want because how quickly you assumed a player did something without any evidence. We will not at all approve staff members coming in from connections money or friends. We strive to be the best Unturned Experience and do not want to ruin that with dodgy staff.
