Idea for new role/combined role

This is just an idea that I had,

As an Uberdriver I find it hard to make money by selling my services because most people already have vehicles. So I think that the role Uberdriver and mechanic are combined into 1 role, or you could select both of them. This relates to real life because Uber doesn't have to be a full time profession. Another idea is that people could be a Uberdriver and go off duty and when somebody requests a Uber they could accept the job and go on duty.

How would this benefit Uber drivers?: The role Uberdriver is tough. People usually just take their cars anywhere that they want. But with this role, Uberdrivers could be able to make money in a different way. They could be a mechanic and help people buy things that a mechanic would, or if that is to expensive for them, they could just take an Uber with the same person!

I like the idea but I find Uber in general a role that isn't used much anyway.

Um, since when do you have to be a mechanic to be an uber driver, vice versa?

Also, in real life, you can literally apply to be an uber from your phone. No shit needed, no diplomas or degrees, just a computer/phone/device that has access to the internet, a car and a driver's license, and a gun to defend yourself from those dangerous hitch-hikers. Meanwhile, mechanics need a degree in engineering and automotive technology and those in the surrounding fields to get the best job and the minimum degree they require is a high school diploma.

Also, people usually get those diplomas and degrees to get a job that's not minimum wage just like uber, more like a mechanic or engineer or architect. You will rarely to never find someone on Uber.com that has gotten a degree in something that has to do with VEHICLES. Unless you consider your driver's license a diploma from Driving School.

Dunno what its like over there in the USA (im pretty sure you are there) but it sounds like its pretty crazy over there xD. In NZ you need you need a P (passenger license) to hold a Uber License to drive people.

Yeah, also with uberdriver, when you neet to go, where can you put your car? If you hide it someone will come and blow it up, so normally you actually lose more money since you have to but a new car every time you play.
And yeah most people have their own vehicles. The uberdriver role is kinda pointless.

P.S. Yeah Loxton NZ squad! xD
