Your philosophy of "treat people how you wish to be treated" is invalid. People by natural default treat others based on their preconceived judgements on that individual. Whether it be by the way they act, the way they speak or the way they react to certain things. Never disrespect anyone. It may seem "right" and "deserved" to you however they may be having a rough time and they acted rashly and impulsively. The things they say to you may not have a big effect however the response you give may have detrimental effects on them.
Disrespect is one of the first stages of bullying. This is why disrespect no matter how "tiny" or "deserved" it may seem is NOT acceptable. Be mature, don't react and leave them be.
I never disrespected you, and I never try to disrespect or mean to unless its "deserved" disrespect. Deserved disrespect in my opinion is when someone disrespects you and you disrespect back. Only reason I would ever disrespect. treat people how you wish to be treated, he disrespected me. I felt it was right to disrespect him. Although nobody will hear his disrespect apparently cause he pulled my chat logs with no context.Disrespect is never deserved. It's only distributed by agents who wish to hurt or belittle another individual. As a staff member, you should know that disrespect in any form is unacceptable. I've grown to learn this. You should too. Is someone disrespecting you? Be mature, leave them to their attempts and barbs with pleasure knowing that you were mature enough to not give them the satisfaction of providing what they want, a reaction.
