Right now, rescues aren't very thought out. It is the only roleplay event I know where you just call it out in chat to start it. Also, sometimes, they can get messy.
Yesterday I saw a rescue on 10, where there were so many people in the area that some not even involved got killed. I would understand for kidnappers if someone calls rescue and you see 20 people right outside you don't know who to kill without walking up to them and looking at their nametag. So, I have a proposed solution to this.
How about, you add a /rescue command for police ranks and SWAT. Also add a rescue assist command, and extend it to just normal police. This would work something like this.
/rescue bob "Seattle donuts" Yung is rescuing bob at Seattle donuts! Rescue begins in 30 seconds! or something of the sort
and rescue assist would work like /rescue assist Yung "Jim is assisting in Yung's rescue!
This would create a "raidzone" in which only the rescuers, kidnapper, and kidnapped would be. It would give the "right" to shoot anyone in the area so there is less confusion. Also, it would add a little more depth to rescuing. Not sure if this has been discussed in the past, just seems like a good solution.
