Post Your Ideas or Suggestions for our RP Servers Here!

Hello,

I would like to see a few changes in the department. It would be nice to see a new role called Police Cadet this will be the first rank they get upon entering the police department on the server. In order to progress to officer they must attend the academy wish will be handled by leading officer on the server (ANYONE Chief or higher). During the academy they the chief will explain the laws to the cadet, teach them the city laws that can be enforced and fines that can be charged.

Being chief I noticed the police is in chaos we got newbies playing officers randomly arresting players for no reason, kosing players with there pd kit. Leading to demotions and other stuff. I would like to see Police become a private role that only can be assigned by a chief or higher. The player must contact the police chief making the server more realistic like. Right now realism has gone out the window, I remember when I first started Pandahut it was more realistic we had leaders official pd, etc not sure what happened to this idea. I would like to see this readded. Yes swat will still be only for donators but will be restricted if you do not apply it must be assigned by chief or higher. The chief then would contact a moderator to add the role to the player. Making it more realistic. Now if this idea is out the window I still would like to see a new role called "Police Cadet" were they are voted for police officer by the community like chief. Maybe restrict them to a lesser weapon such as a taser and baton no fire arms.

What does everyone think please add to this suggestion

I agree with this, since most police players (but also bandits) have no idea what they are doing leading to KOS and other stuff, however I think this change must be implemented with a bandit nerf at the same time. Imagine arresting a bandit with a police baton...
+1 for now

-1 The system is fine how it is.

If you want to make a private group and do that feel free to.
How is the system fine ? You really make me laugh.
I feel like you are speaking from the perspective of someone who plays cops or bandit roles and never try anything else.
Most of the new players pick police or bandits, because they seem like cool roles. However none of them bother themselves with reading the rules, leading to stupid KOS-es, bad arrests/robberies and so on.
Eventually there are multiple people affected after this:
1) obviously the players that get wrongly KOS-ed, arrested and so on
2) the moderators that have to deal with these crap, leading to their frustration, leading to people refusing to try to be moderator (because they have to deal with these things). The moderators have a very hard job because of stupid people with guns (aka newbies and kids that never read the rules, but get enough power through their role). That's why mods struggle so hard to maintain the order sometime (in my personal opinion).
3) the guys that pick these roles are victims too. They eventually get kicked/banned with a message "go read the rules". And let's be serious...who even does that after they are kicked, it's simply easier to swear and blame the admins/mods. By doing that pandahut RP servers lose some of their player base or some players might even become trolls, KOS-ers and annoy the shit out of everyone else.

I really think Reek's idea is good. Some sort of academy for new cop players would be really good, considering what I wrote above. But I will repeat myself, this change should come with a bandit nerf.

1.
Most of the new players pick police or bandits

Mushy implemented a feature which means your have to at least play 30mins before picking these roles.

2.
obviously the players that get wrongly KOS-ed, arrested and so on
They get restored and continue with RP, Mushy implemented a feature which means your have to at least play 30mins before picking these roles.

3.
You really make me laugh.
Rude

4.

You obviously don't know me as on10 I am usually a weaponsmith or a builder

5.

I. Don't you think when applying they know this?

II. Very rude to new player calling them stupid as you were once a "newbie"

6.

I. I did that like a normal person along with everyone else who is banned for 10mins

II. It's a 10min ban

III. It's their chose to swear to the mod and it'll only make their ban longer.

IV. If they troll they are banned

Overall to me you are a regular police officer that wants some power by making new players dislike the job.

In relation to Reek. This idea may be able to work in certain RP scenarios but overall I believe this is a bad idea because new officers will dislike the job as they are given nothing.

They could have a sallary and also receive some money if their cadets do a succesful arrest. It's not boring at all imo.

P.S. I am not a police player in-game. I stick to non-fighting roles because of bad ping. I am just tired of seeing cops and bandits with no idea about the rules and I don't think 30 minutes of playing decorator or whatever will fix that.
