A while ago I was playing on #10, minding my business and doing business, when all of a sudden I am kidnapped by two people I will leave unnamed. I didn't have the opportunity nor the time to pull a gun so I had to comply with their demands. After being handcuffed, I got in their car and they took me to a base near the deadzone. I was ordered to get out of the car and walk inside the base. Upon entering the base, I was told to go into a secluded 1x1 room with a single sentry in it. I walk in and they closed the door behind me. I noticed that I was being radiated due to the deadzone. I told my kidnappers that I would die of radiation and they acted like they didn't know what was going on. I died and my body was looted. I tried to tp back to them but upon acceptance, I was immediately locked inside the room again and left to die. Of course, the teleport was a dumb move on my part, but I also didn't think that they knew what had happened and would give me my stuff back (again, stupid me). I asked the admins about it and they told me that it was perfectly legal to do and that the base that was used was actually made by an admin. I believe that this should be illegal, as it offers virtually no chance to be rescued or paid for. In all fairness, my kidnappers did ask if anyone would pay the 2k ransom, but let's be honest here nobody is going to pay 2k to release someone unless they really care about them. So after consulting a bit with some of the mods on the Discord server, I was told to come here to suggest this be illegal.

Let me state my reasons:

1. As said before, if this is allowed it offers almost no chance for rescue or payment before death and looting.

2. Although there is a high wait time between kidnappings, this way of kidnapping will almost always ensure you a way of constant loot, to other's suffering.

3. Starvation/thirst might take a while, but that is the point. It takes long enough that you may be rescued or paid for, while radiation will almost every time ensure your death with no chance of redemption, and is completely unfair.

Overall, I hope to convince the moderators, admins, and the people of the RP servers, or at least #10 in particular, that this is an unfair way of using the system to your advantage. If this stays allowed, I think that the prisoner should be granted a gas mask as it will stall the time but it will still be faster than starvation or thirst. Please consider this and get back to me as soon as possible.

This is called “fail rp”as they just wanted your loot and didn’t care about role playing the situation out properly. Sadly this is not banable as you are allowed to starve to death. Since this rule is completely backwards (as in encouraging kos/fail rp) instead of trying to get the randsom money,i plan to suggest more appropriate rules for kidnapping if I am elected mayor.

I'm not sure about which staff member you spoke to about this, but your kidnappers locking you in a deadzone to get your loot is fail-rp, and a bannable offense, not to mention you probably are not the first person to die this way. Depending on how many people actually died in this manner, if you make a ban appeal, the people who kidnapped you could end up getting permanent bans.

Yeah, I've seen others complaining about it. It's iya and Skelle that do it and they do it every time they kidnap someone. It's a dumb way to do it and like I said up there if it stays legal they should have to give you a gas mask before you go in there.

First off we always ask for ransom , we dont care about an empty alicepack or filled with trash loot we had only 1 attempt of rescuing and im saying attempt because that person died like i said i dont want to wait 20 minutes for some1 to starve to death is a lot easier for me and the person being kidnapped to die in like 30 sec

Maybe you should read what I said up there. You should at least give them a gas mask if you are going to do this, as it is faster than starvation or thirst but still gives a good amount of time for police to rescue or a ransom to be paid. Also, if you don't care about the loot then you should let the people you kidnap get it back instead of just locking them back in, which I think should count as KoS. I also never said that you didn't ask for ransom, so you should read the main post before retaliating so as not to lose your oh so precious radiation room. In fact, I said, "In all fairness, they did ask if anyone wanted to pay the ransom when they kidnapped me." Again, please pay attention to the main post.
