Hello there ladies and gentlemen (and those that are both) I've realised that for the past weeks / months there has been a interesting number of complaints towards the availability of staff members on the RP servers so I thought that until those certain issue get dealt with, what if the players themselves can do something against those nasty kosers, here's what I thought:

-Allow players to execute a /report command towards a certain player, upon X reports (idk 20% of the currently online players) it'd say something like this in the chat "X Has been reported by Z amount of players, if X is going against the rules please do /report X for the player to be frozen until a staff member deals with them!" That's just an example ofc, and upon X amount of votes the reported player will be frozen and cuffed for X amount of minutes until a staff member deals with them (Once a staff member logs on it'd say like 4 times in the chat to the staff member that X was frozen to where the staff member then investigates what happened. As for how many votes would be required to be frozen I'm thinking of like 50% of the amount of online players so if there are like 12 players on 6 would have to report X or if 24 peeps are on then 12 reports. The obvious issue with this is that the players might lie or might think what X did was against the rules but it actually wasn't which is why the plugin will require like 50% of online players to report the player until they get frozen and cuffed. A rule should also be added which states that if you are fully aware that X did nothing wrong but still report them for no reason you will get punished.
(Logs can be checked to see who reported X ). I believe this would be useful to allow the players to actually be able to do something against those that go against the rules intentionally because at the moment if a koser is on loose players can't do much (without spam discord and wait for staff which a lot of the times from what I've seen can take a long time) and not everybody wants to become a staff member due to multiple reasons (Or were denied from being one) therefore this plugin will allow them to stop a player from causing havoc until a staff member smacks em with a ban hammer upon investigating what the reported player did. Obviously this idea can be improved on, this is just something that came to my mind after lurking on discord lol.

Edit: Please reffer to the comments on the 2nd page for an update towards the idea regarding an identified flaw.

Well as I did state those are the following issues with doing that:
1. You require 50% of the currently online players to freeze the person so you'll need quite a lot of friends to do that unless the server's empty.
2. It would be against the rules to do that and the staff member dealing with the freeze would punish those "friends" accordingly upon verifying why the player was frozen.

I’ll have a seizure if I see another X
A con about this is, is that if Chief Grief or a troll comes on at night with a huge group of people, they could just do it to everyone (of course they will be banned afterwards).

The system you suggested is HIGHLY abusable, even moreso than existing report plugins. Adding a vote to freeze players will absolutely guaranteed lead to players voting "Yes" for several reasons:

- Because they can.
-The server is full and it would be a good opportunity to open up a slot for your friend.
-A group of 6 player with a vendetta against someone can start a bandwagon to freeze a innocent players for any reason.
-Immaturity.
-"For the lulz".

I believe this would add just as many problems as it would solve.

That's a fair opinion, although here's what I think:
1. Reporting a player won't result to something on the screen saying "You want to report X?" it'd just be a command that people use on their own will and only after 20% of the currently online players report the same person only then it will let everybody know in the chat that 20% of the people reported X and remind you that you can report X too if you want to get him frozen at 50% of the votes.
2. "Because they can" is not a reason, if they report because of that itd be against the rules, you'd have to report them only if you know they did something against the rules.
3. The player won't be kicked so it doesn't open a slot, it freezes the player for X minutes and maybe there's a function which doesn't allow you to report if theres a staff member on and remind you to report them via adminhelp so then the plugin only gets used when no staff are on to stop the koser.
4. As I said already if that group reports people for no reason then they'd get punished plus 6 players is not enough for a full server, you'd need 12 if the server is full.

The chances of a huge group deciding to go against the rules are smaller than a random guy coming on to kos everybody, so I'd beg to differ against your statement.
