Wipe main cities every month

Seattle and Alberton are laggy af due to too many buildings. Can we at least have the admins wipe the main cities once a month to reduce lag and keep players?
I remember we used to do this, but the thing is when it was done, it angered a lot of people, and the staff/players had to rebuild regions too. So now PH does selective wiping.
However, I do agree that Alberton & Seattle are very laggy, but if we can find a way to balance the lag and keep people's bases, then I'm up for it.
