Hello everyone.

So if you've been playing #13 for a while, you might've remembered a little public transit stint called PETransit. It was a way for me, a mechanic, to give back to the community by making transportation from points of interest easy, affordable, and worry-free. (also to help newbies reach Alberton without using a TPA.)

However, the transit system abruptly stopped a while ago because, to be honest, I wanted to change roles for once. As an entrepreneur sells his company to start another, I wanted to do more things to help out the community, such as the currently-under-construction Institute for Novice Participants of Roleplay, and am thus asking for players who want to spearhead this company into fruition.

I am looking for people who are not afraid of taking risks, not afraid of diversifying into other service lines, not afraid of change, not afraid of doing things the long way, and most importantly, care about this server as much as I do. Preference will be given to those who have discord and those who are mechanics or are willing to switch to a mechanic role. If you are interested, please fill the form below.

Why you want to work here: Well there is a wipe happening on both servers so I thought why not try something new instead just rebuilding my garage and its a great opportunity to get into #13.
Do you have any experience with PETransit? What did you think of it?: As previously mentioned I haven't played on #13 much, but I would assume its a very interesting organization.
Do you have any experience managing a business?: In sense you could say yes but I'm always learning to expand my knowledge to fit the standards.
Why should I choose you over other candidates?: I'm a quick learner and also I would really like to see a public transport system flourish as it would make things more interesting than everyone tping around to places.

How would this work in way where it's not just an excuse for people to get free vehicles? Alright Bat-Kat, here's my proposition. In each of the new bus stops (because someone destroyed ALL of them, as well as the bus depots), there will be a "driver's assistance" kit in a crate with a gas can, tires, batteries, blowtorches and carjacks. However, the biggest problem that I see in this is the availability of this kit. As you may know from my (now completely destroyed) project, the Institute for Better Roleplay, players can be real assholes, especially online. (eg. I placed 50 BLTs in a crate for free food, with a sign saying "take what you need". 3 minutes later it's all gone.) I'm going to need to figure out how to keep people from just outright stealing the blowtorches and carjacks.

Well, how PETransit used to work is that we recruited players with a great knowledge of the PEI map, or were willing to learn. We verified this by giving them a quiz of different landmarks around PEI. (And if this rings a bell, yes, taxi companies in various cities, including London, actually implement this procedure while hiring taxi drivers, but more formally of course.) Then their bus and route was set up, they were trained on their route, and sent on their way. At the time, they were paid every irl day and were able to keep all the fares they generate. So, they have incentive to actually do their job and follow procedure. More details will be given at a later date.
