Alright guys we have a custom made new plugin which is the GunLicense plugin, now what this will do is pretty much told in the name itself. Now the plugin hasn't been added yet although it will be soon after we test it more and look for any bugs. But I'll let you guys know now so you can understand what to expect when it'll be added (Expected time is in the weekend or somewhere around next week).
In theory this is the new things that will be added:
-Police will have the ability to do /checkplayer name OR just hover your mouse to the person until it shows you his name and then do /checkplayer. This command will list the player's guns in the chat and show you which of them are licensed and which aint. We expect officers to confiscate those which are unlicensed and arrest the player for a short amount of time.
-Weaponsmiths will sell their guns with a different method and that's how you'd sell a gun:
1. The weaponsmith equips the gun he wants to sell
2. The weaponsmith uses /sellgun <player> <amount>
3. The player will get a message like this"<Name> wants to sell you a <Weapon> for <Amount>. Use /saccept <ID> to accept or /sdeny to deny."
4. When player confirms that he wishes to buy the gun the amount of money that was input will be taken from the buyers balance and given to the seller. If buyer has insufficient balance then the buyer will be told so and the command wouldn't work.
Important notes:
-If the weaponsmith has changed anything at the weapon after /sellgun, e.g. scopes, magazines, attachments etc, /saccept will refuse to work (This is for preventing ammo duplication etc, since /sellgun will give the exact same weapon with the same attachments, ammo etc to the buyer)
-It will also refuse to work if the weaponsmith drops his weapon.
-When the buyer received the gun he will be given a license of a set amount of time (didn't decide on the time yet, will talk to other rp admins and see what they think). This is done to avoid insta arrests when a transaction is being made.
How to buy a license for your gun
-In order to buy a license for your gun you will need to go to the license store (we didn't decide where the shop will be located) and when you're inside the license store you'll need to do the following:
1. Equip the gun you wish to get a license for.
2. You'd have to do the /license command which I will explain to you when we got it all covered, and when doing the command you'd choose the amount of days you want that gun to be licensed for, obviously meaning the license will run out and you'll need to buy a new one. There will be a set price per day which we will decide soon enough.
Notes:
- The license store will be unable to be destroyed so don't bother wasting your explosives and you'll obviously be unable of placing items there.
- Obviously you'll only be able to do the license command in the license store, going in any other area to do the command will not function.
New confiscating system for police
Okay so in my roleplaying days I've noticed some nasty cops that steal their prisoners items to "confiscate" and end up using the item / selling the item! So this has to stop now.
-A new /confiscate id has been added so now when a police officer confiscated an item he MUST do /confiscate id/amount (amount if needed, if it's only 1 item then amount doesn't have to be put in)
-When the confiscate command has been used the item will DISSAPPEAR meaning you cannot get it back, so be careful when doing this! Only use it if you're not planning to give it back to the prisoner! Also don't confiscate an item that isn't illegal just to annoy the person because that can count as fail rp/scamming and will lead you to being punished by a staff member.
-Failing to use the confiscate command and decide to use the item and not follow the instruction will lead to you being stripped of your police Role and be warned. If user reached 3 warnings he may be given a temp ban.
Robberies
Well well, this plugin hurts our good old bandits too, why you say? Simple.
-When robbing a user, if the player drops his gun and the robber picked it up then that instantly means that the gun will not be licensed (unless the bandit has a license for it) that means that robbing will be more difficult as you can be arrested on sight if caught with a unlicensed gun, scared bandits? Good.
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE
When the plugin gets added everybody will have their guns licensed for a set amount of time (probably 2 or so days) so you don't end up logging in with the new plugin and getting instantly arrested, that'd be crazy.
And that's it! Now the plugin is finished although suggestions are still free to be given as the plugin will not be added for a couple of days meaning we can still change the plugin. So please give any suggestions down below for the plugin!
