Actually, if there was anyway this would work ingame, you'd need to have a plugin. And I don't think its possible to make a plugin that has to do with VOICE as Unturned has no way to track voice chats ingame unlike chat with logs.

Already have some adopted this idea, and i have seen great success as police groups use them to assist one another, and townsfolk calling for aid. I do believe that only specific roles should be able to purchase them, and they should be rare.

I am very excited for the roleplay potential this new update has brought.

Great idea on paper but the walkie-talkie doesn't work unless you have it out and since no one can or wants to have their walkie-talkie out 24/7 it becomes more of a hassle.
This could work once the device actually works while in your inventory or in separate frequencies but in the current state it is in i wouldn't see how it could work.

but this would give incentive to have it out, if they were rare and used for police activity, when a group was raiding, or kidnapping, they would be wise to get their hands on a "police scanner" to keep all bases checked. I understand that they were only released today, but im sure we will have a more fitting idea of how they will fit into the meta quickly enough.

Actually, on 10, I've decided to implement the use of a Police Quick Response Center. This will tie all officers in the field to the high ranks. Officers in the center will be on standby sitting with walkie talkies. (BTW: in the RPHD we use a system of quadrants/sectors to divide the map among the group. This has successfully countered countless raids/kidnaps/robberies/ etc.) When officers receive an emergency, it will be relayed down to the officer in the quadrant who will most likely receive backup. I find this to be an effective system since during a rob, people don't have time to do /police and comply with warnings. Therefore, we give the People of Pandahut, the opportunity to use walkie talkies for 30 secs during warnings (1,2,3 assuming that they don't comply until warning 3) to give us their location and for our QRF (Quick Reaction Force) to respond. This will bring stability and large drop of crime to the server. Thanks!
