Ok so I'm sure this has already been answered somewhere, but I'm wondering what's the constructor do? At first I thought it was a name change for builder, but in the roleplay rules builder and constructor are there? So if any one knows what constructor does pls tell. Ty :P

Constructor has access to ALL crafting items (cans, nails etc.) so he's useful for crafting safezone generators and such

Why not mash him and the builder?

Why not mash him and the builder?
Builders build houses, Constructors make appliances and shit.
Slightly different I guess. :| :?

kind of seems like unnecessary specialization tbh

I get why having a diversity of roles is important to encourage teamwork etc but like. . . this role could easily be merged with the mechanic (for mechanical/electrical objects) and the builder (for structural objects) rather than creating a third role that does a tiny bit of each, y'know

Yh, it would be cool if the mechanic got another use than just "hey I want a cool heli" or "ey anyone selling blowtorch"

It makes it to where no one role has too much "power". It balances it out to where not one role can do everything it gives it more of a "realistic feel" I guess you could say. In summary it just adds more variety and more interaction between characters.

well yeah that's obviously the intent of the system, but there's also obviously a certain level of specialization that's ideal rather than one that's totally excessive.

like having three different types of mechanics (one for cars, one for trucks, one for emergency vehicles) would definitely force more player interaction, but it wouldn't necessarily be meaningful or fun interaction...

as pointed out, the extent of RP for mechanics is usually just responding to somebody's request for a car, spawning it, and then leaving.

Hahaha ok listen, there's not gonna be 3 mechanics but tell me, what do mechanics do?... Exactly what the role does. Btw I mean the point wasn't that obvious :P. but it supposed to be spread. Like look here's an example, so lets say mechanics can do everything that a builder and constructor can do, but there's no mechanics on. You're screwed but let's say a constructors on you're only 2/3 screwed lol.
