Hi There,
Before the announcement was posted me and a couple of mates were talking about this and already I could sense a bit of negativity towards this update.
However if you think about it these are the positives & negatives for this update:
#1: Bases/Raiding.
We all know and have probably done this, but before we raid a base we really want to know if it is worth doing such a thing, having to wait an hour cool-down after a fail raid is just miserable. However this update will drastically change this because you WON'T be able to check what's inside bases this could be good and bad depending on what your doing.
Raiders will probably hate this as it's very difficult to judge a base from the outside and will not know where the loot is, or where the sentry defences are.
However this will be really good for bases because sentries won't be able to be seen from the outside of the base and if the raiders are inside they will have to go round a corner to see if their is a sentry and by then they could be shot once or twice. This will make base raiding a lot harder.
#2 PvP.
This is the big one, the majority of players I would say use 3rd Person for PvP, it's very well known that players will stand next to a wall and wait for someone to run out of a door and shoot them when the other player can't actually see them. If you want to PvP in first person you have to be brave and actually stick your head out before shooting. Before you could get away with pre-firing before standing up because you could see the other person before you actually shoot.
This will also drastically improve PvP
#3 Roleplay reality.
This is pretty simple, we try to make Roleplay as real as possible (It's a game, we can't make everything reality) and being in 3rd person just doesn't feel right, a lot of players are just so used to the 3rd person way that this update is a nightmare for them, when in reality it's just you being used to something that "isn't real", and so removing this from roleplay is in my opinion an excellent idea.
These are just some ideas that I made up in 2 minutes about this update. I feel like it's an amazing feature to add to Roleplay, hopefully people will agree but everyone's opinion is fine.
We appreciate all feedback
