I mean we could already arrest bandits for robbing and hitman for killing so this isn't that useful but I really like the idea anyways and would love to see it!

I was thinking, in order to nerf bandits and buff police...

Whenever a bandit commits a crime, his IGN is stored in the criminal record, which all police have access to. This would mean that a bandit's crime persists even after the crime in question is finished. The bandit's entry in the criminal record will only disappear when he has served his time/done retribution in other ways.

This would mean that all bandits which have done crimes will live under the constant fear of being arrested.

• A police arresting someone on the grounds of criminal record would use a custom command, like /crarrest. The command will only work if the criminal in question is in fact in the criminal record

• Doing /checkplayer will show if the bandit is stored in criminal record.

• This will give the police the joy of acting like hitmen, searching for the target, having cop chases and similar to get the bandit. It will add an interesting gameplay mechanic.

You can ofc tweak this to your liking if you decide to add it, for example make the entry disappear if it the bandit has been unpunished for like 5 days or so.

"Nerf bandits and buff police"

WRONG way around. The POLICE are the ones who need to be buffed. You get Police and if you donate $5 you get PoliceSniper kit and PoliceRifle kit. A chief Deputy or Captain get given Secondary and Primary weapons and COALITION. Did shit sells for LOADS. I sold a beret for 2k! All police have to do is sell it when no ones looking

If police sell their coalition I think they should be demoted in my opinion.

I think the size of a plugin like this would be too large or buggy, I would like something like this, but if players could form in game methods of making these records and sharing them with other cops/public or just traditional RP, pen and paper (I would do this, write down how long and for what reasons players served time in the slammer) things like these really teach and construct a good Roleplaying habits. Communication and the exchange of information really create fun RP situations, for example a group of cops who play on different times act as secretaries recording the crimes and actions of players stand out and things like these can result to possible promotions and the creation of larger groups such as the old RPHD,Seattle Sentinels, RRCMP, PPD, RPD, and others. within these groups hierarchies formed lines of command established.

Things like these can be done without the use of plugins, Hence why many police situations are up to the Police to make up themselves. Such as arresting for Jaywalking, "warrants to search homes", investigations and tails, undercover cops, infiltrations into bandit organizations, officers so deep in cover that they become mini drug lords that cause bandit groups to wage private wars against each other so the cops just sit back and watch their targets tear each other apart far from the eyes of the public.

All of these are created by players and did not need the use of a plugin like this.

I believe that players could do this on their own and do not need this to RP.

BTW create your own laws, use my guide! (It will be worked on during my spring break 4/7-15/17)

Police should act like police, following all the rules possible and then creating some "laws like the selling of police uniform to other players is not allowed and police will be arrested for it."

Enforcement of weapon licensure for all police, and more like!

Police RP, in my opinion is the richest kind of RP, with little effort you can develop systems of order and truly make any players experience better.

You can contact players who have just been robbed and carry out an in depth investigations and find and arrest the bandit, stake out the hideout of a known kidnapper, collect evidence illegal item caches, or that of raiders and illegal items stolen gathered by raids to then present to a police captain, almost anything is possible in Police RP!

First of all, this plugin would be really basic and wouldn't be laggy/buggy, not one bit. Take it from me, a python programmer, which knows how the code works. It would litterary just be a bunch of printing commands and 1 array. It doesn't get more simple than that.

Second of all, I believe you have read this thread poorly. Me and Agent74 discussed the fact that you could do this manually, pen-and-paper style (more exactly, google sheets, but you get the point), but we agreed that the common folks, polices wouldn't bother with this, or maybe not understand it at all. Therefor, I wanted it as a plugin so that the majority of players can understand it easily, there's no point in indirectly restricting it to only intermidiate RP'ers. You have to understand how pen&paper would be realistically implemented.

So, to wrap this up. Players would ideally be able to do this without plugins. But we do not live in an utopia where players actually understand harder concepts. The bonus with plugins is that many things are automated and streamlined, while at the same time easy to understand and able to implement basic logic rules so it can't be used maliciously.

we can expand the /checkplayer command so it views the players reputation/unlicensed weapons and their kill history no explaining details just how many kills and what guns. this will make it easier for the police to decide the severity of the situation.

The only thing that comes to my mind is.
Police higg ranks and SWAT have access to /addrecord <name> <reason> and they use
/checkrecord to see this
Bananasriel: murder, robbery
Loxtonjoel: raid, murder x3
T-moist: police impersonation
ProScret: outdated memes
This record can be permanent until the person is arrested. After this police high ranks can use /removerecord <name> to erase it from the record
Also if you /checkplayer can show
Bananasriel
Grizzly x1 [UNLICENSED]
This player has a clean record

or

T-moist
T-moist is not carrying any weapons
T-moist is wanted for: police impersonation
tMoist liked this

I am so tired of not getting a concrete answer for responsible admins... Can I get a yes or no of this getting implemented? There's no point to posting suggestions if they are just going to wither away with no feedback.
