We can restrict these roles to a lower rank such as VIP+, but definitely not a regular, time-based restriction that anyone can get around by idling in our servers. Please understand that I'm not speaking out of greed, but out of our sheer obligation to pay Pandahut's server bills, which is equivalent to more than the rent I pay. These roles are attractive to players who are thinking about getting a rank. We put tons of hard work on coding and adding them, day in and day out, after already having work and college to deal with every day.
April-May are never good months for PH in terms of donations and we need you guys to understand that these perks exist to guarantee Pandahut's survival. Tons of smaller communities are dying out for a reason. Unturned doesn't get too many players at around this time of the year (source: steamcharts). We are constantly planning out and updating PH's finances ahead of time so as to ensure that we continue to stay afloat for a long time to come. Restricting certain roles to ranked members is a part of the overall picture if we want to achieve that goal.
As for the career progression, it seems as though we are reaching a consensus to separate the Police branch from the Lawyer/Judge one. We will be making changes so that the Lawyer role can be selected without applying for it and updating the RP Rules to reflect the career progression paths. Expect an announcement regarding these changes within the next couple of days.
Agreeing with Stan here, putting it MVP only restricts the amount of lawyers on. It should be 50-100 hours on RP before you can become a lawyer.Thank you for your input, iMC. We know you're a very dedicated PH RP player and we appreciate your suggestions very much.
Also agreeing with Mushy here with the career paths, as in real life a lawyer does not need police experience, but a judge definitely needs lawyer experience.
