I see all of these posts saying 'Buff this role, because that role gets a buff, so why don't we?' But then that role gets buffed, and then there's posts reading 'Too OP, nerf the Hitman role!'
Frankly, I've had enough. In honesty the police are about as reliable as an ACME product, the criminal roles run around and terrorise the civilisation, while all the neutral roles fall victim to all of this chaos.
We NEED a balance to these roles, and fast. Nerf this, buff that, do something to balance role capabilities, because whenever I get on, there are just police and criminals, then the occasional mechanic or armorsmith.
Let's get to the point.
There has to be a change to neutral roles, giving them some type of skill that motivates people into choosing the role. It's cumbersome staying on the server for hours just looking for that decorator to sell you some flares. If you've got suggestions, please go ahead and leave a comment in the section below. But keep in mind that we DO NOT want to break these roles and give them an advantage. This is just to make RP more realistic, as many want it to be. It's not real having too many thieves, too many cops and a middle child of civilians. Just not right.

Well if this is the case, I believe neutral roles should be more involved. Such as:

Dealing with criminals should be an unlawful offense.
Minor xp kits given to neutral roles.
Tweaking of prices and what roles should have more to buy and/or sell.
Salesman being moved to VIP+ or MVP, allowing more trades possibly.
The re-addition of the Hunter role.
Neutral Roles being given the option to 'volunteer' such as during counter-raids, creating a barrier.
Helping police with finding a player to arrest and being paid respectfully for information leading to an arrest.

There are many possibilities but if balance is the issue, then what can we do first. Top priority to make this happen. What would that be?

Well, again this isn't me going full on with the idea. This is me throwing ideas out whether they seem absolutely amazing or as terrible as my dancing skills during Homecoming in my highschool days.

This is probably the best suggestion I have seen on this site forever (and trust me, I've been here for A LONG time). This is arguably the biggest problem with RP. It's too polarized and childish, with people only wanting the spicy action-filled roles.

Currently, I can only see 2 solutions to this dilemma. I believe that in addition to these solutions, something has to be done about the shop. I believe that it's a lousy way to utilize economies, when in fact players should actively trade with eatch other, not a static in-game shop which always accepts items for x price, and that always have wares for sale.

a) Heavily mod the servers so that all roles are dependant on eatch other in their own way. For example, farmers. They are the only reliable source of food, since only they can farm. Other players will recon farmers as a more powerful class. However, the farmer himself cannot use more advanced weaponry than f.e masterkeys and saw-offs, like the real world. I am sure you can find other good class interaction, with the premise of "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". Farmers shouldn't just be able to throw food into the air and recieve money like they can now.

b) Well-known and well-discussed solution to the problem, apply for a more prestigeous role on the forums. This would render civillian roles naturally more plentiful. The biggest con is of course that many players are very keen on being an action-filled role, so they will just leave in anger. This arguably isn't a problem in the latter solutions, due to the fact that "passive" roles are useful in their own way.

If any administrators find a solution useful, let me know and we could discuss it further. Right now, I am just putting out ideas.
