All the plugins and easy to understand rules (kinda) are what sets PH RP apart from other rp servers. One drawback is how limiting the rules are for how you can rp. I have heard from many players and even some pvp staff say that the only reason why they don't play on the rp servers is because its "shallow" or its rules are to "black and white." Because of this, I think its time to make a hardcore rp server on pandahut.

DISCLAIMER: do not -1/+1 for ideas shown below. Instead base is on weather PH should even think about implementing it.

IDEAS:

The only rules would be no harassment/bullying/racism, no mass kos, not playing as your role (police acting as a bandit or any other "extreme" senerio,) and no rdm/no intent to RP. There might also be another rule implemented that requires players to use the /raid command to reduce the amount of raids if needed. /rob or /arrest command don't need to be used and there must be solid evidence of an rdm or mass kos.

Roles would work the same way as the other rp servers (can only buy certain items from the shop)

Could go as far to people making there own nations / gang empires. Mega bases allowed for groups of at least 5 active members.

Police can create extensive laws on almost everything. You could elect a Sheriff who would be given a monthly term to lead the police force and creat laws.

I've been wanting a whitelisted one where you have to apply on forums or have a certain amount of RP hours to join. This would avoid many issues for the experienced RP'ers.

The only way to make this work would be by whitelisting the server IMO. Enforcing a public hardcore RP server requires lots of staff. You'll eventually end up with a set of rules as restrictive as PH's in order to keep the chaos down. I think this idea would need a bit of brainstorming when it comes to our current RP staff situation as well. With only two RP servers, there are still times when we don't have enough staff members online, despite our best efforts in handling staff applications.

I personally disagree with this, as if you want to play it would be whitelisted, so rather than having ban times you get removed from the list, so you can't play on that server unless you reapply, therefore meaning that you don't permanently need staff on, just need one available unlike 10 and 13
